LW: 0-2 (?2.20 units)
YTD: 4-4-1 (?0.25 units)
All plays for 1 unit
Another short slate for me.
Ohio St @ Iowa (ML +100)
See gman?s thread since I can?t add much more other than Hawkeyes more often than not are a good play at home, as fave or dog. Hawks are 20-4-1 at home (2-1 this season).
N Dame vs. Navy (+6)
This game and the next I feel I may be falling into the public dog trap (how?s that for confidence, eh).
But can?t pass up Middies who always get up for the Irish. Plus I?m a sucker for the rushing dog angle, which Navy certainly falls under, averaging 267 yards per game on the ground.
Wyoming (+7.5) @ BYU
Everyone knows about Cowboys? 8-0 ATS record vs. Cougars and this line just seems to beg for dog money (getting more than a TD).
Have read various reports on this game on how Cougars have played the tougher sked and may be better than their record indicates. Also read how there are no real stars on Wyoming, they?re playing as a team.
Weird trend/angle I had written down ? Cowboys are 12-1 (prior to this season) vs. teams that average more than 275 pass ypg. BYU comes into the game at 288.5 ypg. Can?t really put my finger on why Wyoming comes in with this 12-1 mark, but along with the 8-0 dog angle, I?ll take the Cowboys.
Also can?t discount turnover margin, where Wyoming is at +6 while BYU is -9.
Some ugly dogs that I had circled but laid off:
Pitt (for some reason I can see a 20-10 BC win)
Illinois (Michigan may be looking ahead to Boilers)
Army (Cadets seem to have responded to Bobby Ross?s 'chat' from a few weeks back but don?t know enough about South Fla)
YTD: 4-4-1 (?0.25 units)
