Thanks for keeping us informed about the Peterson situation. I know USC is going to send him a LOI, but will he send it back with his signature? I doubt it, but there is a "chance."
According to many recruiting experts, Peterson is the real deal. They say a RB this good comes out of high school once every 10 years. Looks like OU is getting a good one. Congrats Sooners.
By the way, I heard today that WR Jarret and WR Jones will be coming to USC. USC coaches think Jarret is the #1 high school WR in the nation and recruiting experts only hve him as 4star. Yep, coaches are more high on Jarret than Davis (who USC also got). Jones is also a 4-star WR who runs a 4.3. USC is still after 5-star WR Colvin, but looks like Michigan chances of landing him improve greatly, but watch out for Oregon. USC stole 2 stud WR recruits from Ohio St., and OSU's rival might get another stud WR as well. OUCH.

My God Scott.....you are really involved in this recruiting thing arent you? You would think that they are handing out one of those crystal trophies for the #1 ranked recruiting class!
It is nice that you guys are getting all the recruits you want. But it doesnt mean anything unless you have a CRYSTAL trophy to look at. You guys dont have one......and I can go to THE Ohio State University and look at one from just a couple years ago.

Answer: NO, Pete Carroll has a 29-9 record in his first 3 years with USC. Jim Tressel has a 32-7 record in his first 3 years at OSU. We have a BCS Championship and AP Championship, USC only has the latter.

Recruiting season is pretty exciting if you get yourself involved with it and then it is fun to see which players develop. Watch your program grow. If USC has the #1 or #10 recruiting class really does not matter to me because I think the USC "staff" is #1 in the nation in recognizing talent and developing it. USC staff does not look at recruiting rankings. USC just threw away a 4-star recruit last week that really wanted to come to USC. Just happens USC has the #1 class. Ohio St. is having a very good class as well, just happens that their rival Michigan is having a better class.
I can go to Heritage Hall at USC (largest college trophy building in nation) and look at 9 legitimate National Championship Trophies for college football, 5 Heisman Trophies, and 21 Rose Bowl Trophies!!!! BTW, congrats to USC for winning 3 College National Championships in the Fall Year!!!!! Lastly, look at the academics of USC compared to OSU and it is :lol:
Tressel is an excellent coach and Ohio St. is fortunate to have him. I do not think Tressel is a great recruiter but he is good. I do think Carroll and "staff" are the best coaching staff in the nation.

You cannot make a fair comparison because OSU plays in Big 10 and USC plays in Pac 10. SO completely different schedules. However, you can see that OSU is 8-home game U and USC has played a much tougher OOC schedule than OSU in the last 3 years. No comparisons needed there. USC also has dominated the the best team in the Big 10 last 2 years. (Iowa was tied with OSU 2years ago). You can also take a look at how many close games OSU has played and won, even against sub-par competition at home. Maybe that is why OSU does not get the respect they deserve. So your argument really is not much of an argument. My opinion is USC has a better football program than OSU right now. You may disagree.

So the thought is he is thinking UT but wants Mom and Dad convinced by Mack. Probably still a long shot but I will know some more tonight.

Scott......now c'mon. A couple of our non-conference games the last 2 years have been Washington State and Washington, both of which we mopped the floor with. We beat Washington State when they went to the Rose bowl a couple years ago and we beat Washington this year and they beat the so-called second best team in the PAC 10 this year!!!

scott, i may be out of line here, but when you go and schedule teams....they usually have to say "yea, we will agree to play you" We dont just sign these teams up to play in the horseshoe....they agree to play us.
NC State is a team that we agreed to do a home and home with....we are going there this year. We have 5 road games scheduled this year.
