Come on people, I don't see OU losing to MU in the Big 12 title game and then we're left with Ohio State vs. West Virginia unless MU can pulll off the victory against OU.... doubtful IMO. It sure looks like West Virginia vs. Ohio State is going to be a reality and I really expect the Mountaineers to take home the trophy.

I'll take the winnings from fading LSU next weekend, and lay it on WV as a small dog:00hour

Mizzou can beat WV, but imo Ohio St will not be able to score with them

I don't think tOSU could beat WV. That offense is pretty dynamic, and the buckeyes have a lot of problems stopping running qb's to begin with.

It's pretty amazing to me how hard it is in college football to stop a fast running qb with a decent rb. Just look at Dixon at oregon, White at WV, hell even mc fadden at Ark. ( i know he's rb, but he played option qb 85% of lsu game) Doesn't even matter if there's 9 in box, they can't stop those offenses.

Yup.....WV runs the same exact offense as Illinois except 5 times better. And we had zero clue how to stop the Illinois offense......

I'd like to say that if you give Tressel 50 or so days to figure it out, we will be fine, but we all know what Tressel did with a 50 day layoff just last year.....

I made this post in another thread on Nov. 22:

My predictions:

1. Kansas defeats Missouri--or vice-versa.

2. Winner of Kansas-Missouri loses to Oklahoma in Big 12 Championship.

3. LSU loses to Georgia in SEC Championship game. Or maybe even Arkansas.

4. West Virginia wins out.

5. OSU and WVU will be matched up in BCS title game.

6. Holy hell will break out on both sides of the river here in southeast Ohio.

7. OSU will be crowned National Champions for the 2007-08 year.

8. OSU will be preseason #1 next year.

9. OSU will succumb to the pressure and finish 11-2, losing to USC and Michigan.

MARK IT DOWN!!!!

If WVU is ranked ahead of OSU, then ya gotta figure that WV would be the favorites. I'd be all over OSU. If the game happens, OSU wins 34-24.

We all know that USC will be proclaimed NC on this board. They will win some obscure poll and declare themselves NC:mj07:

every weekend a lower ranked opponent is a fav over a higher ranked opponent...i.e usc -3 over asu this week, rutgers unranked fav over number 2 south florida...the lines makers piss on the rankings

but on a serious note it would be a tragedy to see OSU fake the pollsters out again this year only to get their ass handed to them AGAIN. Who has OSU played btw? People talk about Hawaii having a weak schedule take a look at OSUs.

Illinois is the only good team they have played and they lost at home to them.
Wisconsin is bad, Mich is bad, Penn St and Purdue are terrible. The win at washington might be the best win on their schedule.

I can only hope Georgia or VT hop OSU in the rankings to play against WVU. I really think it should be WVU v LSU but LSU has had to play such a brutal schedule and every team brings it to them every week.

I said the same exact thing a few weeks ago about Ohio State and I was called a Buckeye hater by all their fans. The Big Ten was garbage this year and when your nonconference schedule is YOUNGSTOWN STATE, AKRON, KENT STATE, and Washington you are going to have a great record. Ohio State was the worst number 1 ranked team I have ever seen in the 25 years I have watched college football. If they were in the SEC or PAC 10 they would have 4 or 5 losses. They are not even a top 20 team this season.

i would take mizzu or wvu (both likely as a dog) over ohio state in a hearbeat

osu cant match up with speed and spread offenses, last i checked both ran the spread and both have tons of speed....wvu would be more of a nightmare for osu as white is a threat to run more so that daniles

Ohio but not a Buckeye
If you think Missouri can't beat OU, then you're just nuts and don't know College football.

They SHOULD'VE beaten them in Norman earlier in the season, and faltered in the 4th Q.

I'm all over Mizzou against OU.
