Congrats to all the Buckeye backers. Tough loss for my Boilers. Seems this Buckeye team just keep finding ways to win the close ones. That is a mark of a very good team. Good Luck

No shame man,.... I know it is not a win but they took us to OT in our house. What if you had not lost your starting center.

One little hidden handicapping hint from old GENO:

Which player on the field handles the football on every I REPEAT EVERY offensive play?

;)

Very true Geno, that man in the middle of all the action is a very important part. I feel sorry for the Purdue kicker. He has definately won us a few games this season. The guy is not even on scholarship yet. He's been a great story for us this season and I refuse to blame him for the loss.

Thanks boiler, it was a tough loss and yes yet another close win for us. Purdue has a great team, beating teams like Purdue and hopefully mich will put us in the National Champ game.

Maybe Purdue can play Usc in the Rose Bowl and finally prove how weak the Pac 10 is vs the Big 10 :D

GL the rest of the way.

It was a hell of a game, man. I was there and I was impressed with the way that you Boilers travel!

I GUARANTEE that whatever bowl these guys go to, they will win. If not for some tough scheduling, this team woudl be in the national championship chase. Going to Michigan and Ohio State in the same season is very tough. But I must say that I am impressed.

Penguin....Ohio State can pass them if the computers, human polls, and strenth of schedule give up a total lower than USC's....a lot of experts think it is very possible. we will see!

What did USC do to Iowa last year in the Orange Bowl? :nono:

USC is not a soft team and is more talented than any team in the Big 10. No Big 10 team could challenge USC. Period.

scott:

i disagree with that comment. on a neutral field, michigan vs. southern cal would be a phenomenal game. i still feel michigan is the 3rd best team in the country.

Purdue would beat USC by double digits. They were a sleeper team of mine to win the title but obviously that won't come to fruition. Some might knock the big 10 as boring football but top to bottom, they are a better conference then the pac 10 this season & I'm a pac 10 fan. The only rollovers the big 10 had this year is Illinois & Indiana. Illinois tried hard & hung around but like any bad team in a funk, any little mistake & the ballon gets deflated.

Scott,

JEEZ!!! You guys lost to CAL for cryin' out loud!! How in the hell can you talk about bad losses. Oh and by the way, you can quit talking about Auburn being such a good win. They are about 6th or 7th in the SEC. Play the other top ones and come talk to me.

Mr Hockey,

I'm glad you found another team to focus on this year. Seriously, your constant pounding from september through december on how lucky/overrated Ohio State was last year wore us out.

I agree, USC is soft and would get drilled by Oklahoma and about a half dozen other teams. Hopefully OSU sneaks in there somehow so we can at least have a competitive Nat Champ game again this year.

Iowa also said USC was soft, and played in pac 10, bla bla bla.

Go look up what USC did to Iowa in the Orange Bowl.

Keep talking about how soft USC is and you will look like a fool like the Iowa fans. Go to their message board and ask them how soft USC is.

USC is the team that can beat OU, not just slow them down. OSU will not recieve 5 turnovers from OU in the NC game. Also the best player for OU will prob. not get injured and unlikely the refs will not make blown calls either. Coker is not coaching OU either. Sorry, can't get lucky like that 2 years in a row.
