The Edmonton Oilers will have yet another new face behind the bench next season.
New Oilers GM Craig MacTavish fired first year head coach Ralph Krueger on Saturday afternoon, as the team hastily called a press conference that took place just three hours before Game 5 of the Western Conference final was to begin in Chicago.
It is believed that Toronto Marlies coach Dallas Eakins will be named as Krueger?s replacement.
MacTavish interviewed Eakins extensively in Toronto last weekend as one of four teams ? including the Vancouver Canucks, Dallas Stars and New York Rangers ? interested in the Marlies head coach.
