found it interesting that kent and west virginia had a closed door scrimmage before the season started and the coaches are kinda buddy-buddy. kent really laid an egg in the NIT last season because they were pissed about not getting into the ncaa tourney. i dont know about this game. kent is basically dominant at home- probably one of the best mid-major home court advantages in the country. they hit you with duke-type 11-2 runs in the span of 2:00. but i dont like the way they played in the finals vs western michigan. ive been around kent basketball for five years now and that was the most perplexed ive ever been with them. they didnt run their offense and they just sat around and shot 3s. its not their style. ion the regular season, going against kent at home is basically asking for trouble and potential suicide. but the NIT dynamic kinda changes everything. tough game. kent capable of winning by 15. also capable of losing outright.
