do with it as you see fit.

oakland athletics (+120)

sure id like to see the indians break out of their early season slump. but it aint gonna happen against a pitcher that absolutely owns them. im not sure ive ever seen a pitcher dominate the indians like barry zito does. i know the quick counterpoint would be that zito has struggled this year and the a's arent hitting......thats true. but the indians are equally as abysmal and not only does zito own them, but the indians are pathetic against ANY lefty this year. hafner is hitting a robust .212. ben broussard is right there with him at .214. casey blake is hitting .212. aaron boone? lets just say ray charles would get better at bats against lefties, as boone is hitting .065 (2 for 31 if you want the exact #s). need a guy at the top of the order to get on base? well grady sizemore is gonna be a terrific player in a few years.... but he's 1-19 against lefties this year.

zito's numbers against the tribe for his career:

37.2 innings pitched.
22 hits
4 earned runs
0.96 ERA
indians team avg. against him is .173

throw in the fact that the tribe is coming off a 4-game series against their biggest rival (minnesota) and the last 3 nights went into extra innings, i just dont see how cleveland is gonna all the sudden start scoring off of zito.

obviously not posting or capping much mlb this season. but im not passing up zito here. good-sized play for me
