Can anyone shed some light on this guy....anyone know much about him and know whether or not this makes the Braves a better play tonight?

Looks like Olsen might be a future star.
He's a callup from AA Portland Sea Dogs and his stats are very good:

154 innings pitched
123 hits allowed
21 walks
144 strikeouts

Very immpressive, but remember this was AA. The kid hasn't even pitched AAA yet. Might be 2 big of jump, or could be unhittable due to the fact Atlanta hasn't seen him yet.

I'm personally staying away from this game.

Good Luck to you.

Right-hander Kevin Olsen, who was 10-3 with a 2.68 ERA at Double A Portland (Maine) before making one relief appearance for the Marlins, will get the call against Atlanta Braves right-hander Kevin Millwood.

``It's disappointing, but I couldn't be happier for Kevin Olsen,'' Beckett said. ``He definitely deserves a shot.''

Said Olsen, who pitched a 1-2-3 eighth inning Sept. 7 against the New York Mets: ``I just want to call my folks to make sure they watch the game. Then I'll get some sleep and show up ready to pitch. I know the adrenaline will be pumping, but the thing about adrenaline is you have to control it from the neck down.''
