Anybody like anything? I'm leaning to Dixon over Kanaan. Kanaan is hurt and Chip Ganassi always seems to have the fastest cars for the Indy.

I don't care what anybody says for auto racing Olympic is by far and away the best. Nascar, CART. IRL, F1, Busch, Trucks with matchups and qualifying on everything and they are always first with odds - it appears everyone else just copies them.

For motorsports Olympic is a must have account.

Myron Just got back form the track and dixon turned the fastest lap of the month at 233+. Track was at perfect conditions though , cool and very little breeze. Today looks like a washout. Tomorrow will be very cool conditions and should see some great speeds. Watch this guy also Dan Wheldon. Been fast everytime out. Also Penske has 8 entries, meaning they have 8 shots at the pole if the choose to. Never count roger out, They seem to want the pole very bad and penske very rarely shows his hand ahead of time. Will not be heading back today. Of again at 7:00am tomorrow if I hear anything different will try to post as much info as possible. I live at the 500 during may.

Myron a word of caution tomorrow if you play Dixon in matchups. Weather is calling for it to be very windy. Rookies have not faced Windy conditions yet during practice. Wind can wreak havoc on a run here at INDY. You may want to think about a veteran like sharp or deferran or someone else in a matchup with a rookie. I liked a few of the rookies until I seen the wind for tomorrow. Watch for practice speeds before qaulifying should tell the tale. Practice starts at 10am. Qualifying begins at 12:00. I like scott sharp to grab the pole tomorrow with the wind.

GL with your wagers should be a hectic day tomorrow. I will be in turn 4 enjoying the day.

Myron I brought my laptop with me to the track and I see no Quali matchups at Olympic. Was going to make a wager but see none on the board maybe they come up after practice session. It is cold and very, very windy. 25-30 mph gust. Like I said before this will be a factor for the rookies. Will check back after practice and give some speed updates. Don't think dixon will run 233 today. I forgot to mention his 233+ yesterday was with a tow, not in the open air solo. I see maybe a 232 today, more realistic 231 or high 230. Back in about 2 hours.

Well practice has ended and just as expected speeds have dropped down a few ticks. Wheldon has the fastest speed with gordon, sharp and brack a few ticks back. Still like sharp to take the pole. Dixon has dropped nearly 2 mph at 230+. Still see no matchups at olympic for quali's.

Wheldon is a surprise, he's been extremely fast out the box from day one no matter what conditions. reminds me of teo fabi, just seems to take grasp of this track and run amazing speeds everytime out.

If matchups do come up would take gordon and sharp for sure and maybe wheldon.

Thats it for me today. time to sit back drink some beer and wait for the dash for the pole.

Just a quick recap of the day. Boy was it cold at the track and the windiest I have seen in 30 years for qualifying. Wind gust where near 40mph+. I had a feeling penske was holding back and the run that helio had was very impressive with the conditions. Sharp blew his chance when he smacked his primary car into the wall. Rookies faired better than expected. But i knew they would not be able to turn the same speeds as during other practices with these conditions. Indy is a unique place just when you think you have it by the balls it will throw a wrench at you.

Myron I hope you didn't wager on dixon/kanaan matchup. I never even seen qauli matchups so hope you had no play.

Team Penske is the team to beat. But I do not think it will be Helio this year I look for Deferran to possibly win this year. Everything is against Helio. No one has won 3 straight 500'S and also he is on the pole.

The chevy engines are really struggling. They are way behind the ball. While in the garage area I talked to one of team cheevers mechanics about the new parts for the chevy engines that where supposed to bring 20-30 more horsepower. But from what was said I think they are starting to have doubts about this. The fastest chevy is nearly 5 mph's slower. Just can't see them making up that much speed in less than a week of track time.

Will give more reports as the days get closer to the start of the 500. Should be interesting to see if the chevy's can find more speed.

I would really love to see Micheal Andretti win his final 500. Not alot of andretti fans around here but feel they have paid their dues long enough. Would be nice to see him go out with a 500 victory.

Sorry Neverteaseit I was out of town the last few days.

For the race Helio will be tough from the pole but for a longshot I'm looking at Robby Gordon. He's done well at Indy in the past with junk and this year he gets a Green car.

Anyone see any odds up for it? OLY hasn't updated since qualifying and WSEX has futures markets but other than that I see nothing.

I seen odds come accross my pager last night and I think gordon was 10-1, deferran 10-1, helio 5-1 andretti 17-1 somewhere along that line I believe. Luyendyk was 40-1. If he puts up a good run this weekend he may be worth a shot.

Yea Myron I heard it yesterday haven't had time to go to the track until today and see what is going on. Alex Barron is replacing him. Also greg Ray has been pretty fast since Tuesday. Watched team Penske most of the day go thru race setups and scrubbing tires and they look sharp. Deferran looks really really good. I still think he wins this race and gordon has an excellent shot. May head out late tomorrow if not will be there sat. and sunday and give a recap of bubble day and the final field. Will also be there next thurs. for carb day. Will not make any predictions until I see if any accidents or misahps happen This will also be a good time to see speeds when teams are on race setup with alot of cars and traffic for the last practice.
