on-line checking accounts?

Just went on line to review the balance of my checking account and saw an entry for "account maintenance - $11.00"

?????

Called my bank and asked what this was about.

Was told, "Sir, we're sorry that happened. That was our mistake. We'll gladly refund your account the $11.00."

On the surface, no biggy.

But, if you make a mistake in your favor with 100,000 clients at $11 bucks each, you ain't losin' money!

Yes it does seem like a great racket. Of those woho don't see the charge, and those who say, it's only 11 bucks, who cares?

Only a few like yourself will call and say, what the hell is this all about?

I bet they make a nice chunk of change for themselves.
