I just threw this total out for discussion before I saw your post. What are your thoughts on this one?

Thanks & GL

Well Ive seen Moss play a few times and I think the kid is the real deal. Before giving up 5 in his last start (many say Cox left him in too long) he gave up an average of less than 1.5 in his previous 7 starts.

Park is still finding his legs, and you have to think hes going to get them eventually. This is not an 8 ERA pitcher.

The Braves have averaged 4.7 runs scored in their last 10, the Rangers 4.9. Given these, it could be close. But I think Moss is the difference maker here to send it under 9.5

Hmm one additional thing, the Braves will have an extra bat in their lineup as this game is AT Texas.

That being said, Im sticking with my original analysis:

Atl @ Tex UNDER 9.5

Pudge returns!

Pudge returns!

Pudge return should bring some confidence and lineup change.
How will this affect game?

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution: 6/6/02

SERIES PREVIEW: TEXAS RANGERS

When; where: 8:05 p.m. today through Sunday; Ballpark in Arlington.

TV; radio: TBS tonight and Saturday, ESPN on Sunday; WSB-AM (750).

Series history: This is the first time the Braves and Rangers have met in interleague play.

Probable starting pitchers: Tonight -- LHP Damian Moss (2-2, 3.08) vs. RHP Chan Ho Park (2-2, 8.28); Saturday -- RHP Kevin Millwood (3-5, 4.66) vs. RHP Rob Bell (2-2, 6.91); Sunday -- RHP Jason Marquis (4-3, 4.40) vs. RHP Dave Burba (3-3, 5.21).

Rangers update: All-Star catcher Ivan Rodriguez is expected to return to the Texas lineup against the Braves. He has been out since April because of a herniated disc in his lower back. Center fielder Carl Everett was put on the disabled list because of a strained left hamstring. Right fielder Juan Gonzalez hit his 400th career homer Wednesday night in Anaheim. Former Braves reliever Rudy Seanez is on the DL because of tendinitis in his right shoulder.

Texas Rangers starters:

C -- Ivan Rodriguez.

1B -- Rafael Palmeiro.

2B -- Michael Young.

3B -- Herbert Perry.

SS -- Alex Rodriguez.

LF -- Gabe Kapler.

CF -- Calvin Murray.

RF -- Juan Gonzalez.

DH -- Mike Lamb.

Who's hot: Alex Rodriguez leads the American League with 20 homers. He was hitting .317 with 56 RBIs going into Thursday night's game at Anaheim.

Who's not: After a successful start when given the job as the Texas closer, Hideki Irabu has struggled lately. He has blown three saves, and his ERA has jumped to 5.88.

Tonight's pitching matchup: The Rangers' key free agent pitching signee, Chan Ho Park, opened the season on the disabled list and has struggled since his return. He did win his last start, but he allowed allowed five earned runs in five innings Sunday as Texas beat Kansas City 8-6. Park, 28, was 80-54 in six seasons with Los Angeles, including 15-11 last season. Moss lost 5-1 at Cincinnati on Sunday in his last start, but he pitched well until the seventh inning. The Braves have won eight of the 10 games that Moss has started. Opposing batters are averaging just .207 against him.

Rangers: Pudge due back today

News
The Texas Rangers plan to activate catcher Ivan Rodriguez from the disabled list today and have him
in the starting lineup against the Braves. Pudge has been on the disabled list since April 15 with a
herniated disc in his back.

Views
Get Rodriguez back in your fantasy lineup right away. He needs to go on a tear to prop his free
agency value back up.

Pudge is indeed back, but after being out from back surgery, I do not think he will be a big factor in their offense tonight.

That being said, he will hit 4 HR now.

Lots of people trying to push Phil to the over, NOT GONNA DO IT!;)

UNDER 9.5!!!</>

GL to you all tonight

AT is 1-6 after 3 or more consecutive wins, and under hits 5-2.

AT under has hit 20-7 on road

Moss under is 4-1 on road, 3-0 in next start if team lost last Moss start.

Park under hit 1-4 this season, 1-2 at home.

TX under is 15-9 following a win
TX under is 25-16 at night, and 18-11 at home

TX under is 0-3 at home when the total is 9 to 9.5

but it's under 10 -115 at rio sportsbook
