Is fire McCauliffe and all strategists. The repups are run so much better as evidenced by the stranglehold they now have on the country. They need to take this party in a new direction and had better come up with a more viable candidate than Hillary or Edwards in 2008.

Obama wouldn't be a bad pick either. he is a smooth talker. im glad he got the senate seat here in Illinois. good strong family backround as well. I just don't think the Dem's would put him ahead of Hilary if they think they can get her in the office.
I can't believe I am going to type this but....
I hope the Dem. party wakes up and gets in touch with mainstream America, because if they are not careful and keep listening to the extreme left, this could make the Rep. party TOO strong and that can be dangerous when 1 party gets too powerful.
If they couldn't beat Bush with all the anti-war sentiment and outright hatred for Bush in some circles, how are they going to fair in 4 years when the Repub's come up with a candidate Like possibly Guiliani.
A lot of people said they weren't so much voting FOR Kerry as AGAINST Bush, how much of a blow out would this have been if the Repub's had a candidate with a more broader appeal like Rudy or McCain. The Dems will need to come up with an electable candidate in 08, and personally I don't think Hillary is it, or they could be in big trouble.

i don't think the dems are in trouble, but more of a bad election for them. its gonna happen. i think they will just learn from their mistakes and hopefully they can get a turn around a bit in the next elections for reps or whatever. i agree hillary doesn't look promising, but alot of people think she can get some votes.
