Haven't been around lately...but I will give you guys a little gift for tonight:
Dallas -1.5 2nd Qtr
First of all, Minnesota has been a terrible 2nd Qtr team all year on the road. I would play this pick almost with any team you give me. The fact that they play Dallas makes it all the better. The way I see it, 2 things can happen in this game:
Minnesota can come out running like Game 1 and dominate the 1st Qtr,
OR
Dallas can learn from last game and come in and control the tempo and hit their shots early on.
If the first happens, Dallas should have some fire in them to re-gain control in the 2nd (especially with the great home crowd behind them), as they did in Game 1 with ease.
If the latter occurs, I don't see Dallas giving into Minny, who is a very streaky offensive team. If Dallas can step up the D like they did in the 2nd half of Game 1, they should be very successful tonight. Nash got some rest, Dirk had some time to heal, Finley is energized, LaFrentz is going to watch his fouls, and Van Exel is playing well also. Too much firepower here.
