Just did a quick Google search for "Online Poker Strategy book", and I didn't really see anything come up besides the regular poker strategy books.

I am not saying that one can be written with any good information, but that doesn't mean one wouldn't sell like friggin' hot cakes!

There is an untapped market here for the Jim Feist's of the world to capitalize on!

Dawg, I went to amazon and searched "on-line and poker" and these three came up, but I haven't read any of them, so can't comment about their "value." However, I have read other books by Lou Kreiger and thought he did a good job.... Haven't heard of the other authors....

Winning at Internet Poker For Dummies (For Dummies (Computer/Tech)) by Mark "The Red" Harlan, Chris Derossi (Paperback)

Internet Poker: How to Play and Beat Online Poker Games by Lou Krieger, Kathleen Keller Watterson (Paperback)

Internet Texas Hold'em: Winning Strategies from an Internet Pro by Matthew Hilger (Paperback - July 2003)

I guess my search wasn't very good.

I wasn't looking to read one. It just occurred to me that I haven't heard of one. I guess what I think would sell like crazy is "The Crew's Online Poker Strategy" or Raymer or Moneymaker. Someone who is semi-famous for online play.

Thanks.

Most books will talk a little about online play, but not much. I dont know really if there is much of a strategy or not.

even though you aren't playing live, I think people still give away tells by bet amounts and time taken to put a bet or a call in.

Once again, my point was not looking for strategy. I just see it as a wide open opportunity to make money by selling a book.

But there is some strategy to Online Poker. There's no doubt about that.

now that I think about it, I know that there are video tapes/dvds geared toward poker online strategy. I think Helmuth has a set for sale as well as ____________ (drawing a blank).

Lets face it there are strategies for everything. Even pissing in the urinal where they paint the "fly" just so you bozo's wont splatter all over your feet and the guy next to you. :scared

Dawgy,
Just write your book with "Your" strategies, and if they work, you will be the next guru :)

another strategy that took me several thousand hands to realize/emphasize is table position. I think lots of internet players make the mistake of betting out in early position and can easily be reraised to folding especially if they don't get a piece of the flop. Position is soooo important.
