I guess it may have come across better if I explained how I heard about it. I have a gentleman that is in the mortgage business currently working for me once a week. He's been around the US a bit in his life and he's also been exposed to many upper end some celebrity types in his life. Needless to say, he's got a good story or two every now and then about people places. (Great story about the good Rev Jackson)

The building involved in this story was basically sitting and rotten. It was of no current use and the property couldn't be changed/altered or torn down do to it's considered historical significance. I'm not sure if David Byrne (if you know who he is) purchased it with his own money but I think he put all the time and money into whatever he had done. It would only have worked with a certain type of building and only would have been thought of and carried out by a certain type of person. I would imagine David Byrne doesn't need the money after what he has done in the past so that didn't come into the picture. Just someone who had a thought and the means to see it through. Better than trying to break the world record flying across it in a balloon IMO.
