Lenny Peaslee, executive chef at the Stoughton Country Club, said the twister tore the roof off as about 40 people took refuge in the basement.

"We were ... hiding behind the bar," he said. "We had beer, anyway."

The Wife and I were sitting on our front porch watching the WILDEST cloud formation we had ever seen yesterday,we looked at each other and said THAT will be a tornado soon and 25 mins later it was a F4: Some sun, a rainbow and a huge storm cloud rotating was just a sight that we will never see again.
Unfortunately it turned destructive...

My Mom and stepdad were going to Tennessee and I was going to buzz down I43 to meet them in Beloit for dinner. But Mom called and said they were stopped on I90 just south of Madison because a semi was in an accident. I asked where they were at and she says Stoughton. Uh-oh. They missed being there when the hell went down by like five minutes (thankfully). Apparently when a tornado touched down, it blew the semi completely over. I knew Fort Aktinson and Milton had some problems from the tornados, but when I saw the TV footage of Stoughton... I mean damn... it just got smoked.

I was camping in the Wisconsin dells this weekend that storm just roared in. It was so bad we had to go to my buddy's cabin 1 hour away for the night.We came back Friday morning and much to my surprise the tents held up pretty good only a little water. Oh yea I was drinking a beer to lots of them.
