If i lose i wont bet baseball anymore, i believe is the worst sport to bet on , these are my reasons :

1. Its a very long season, they play almost daily so players sometimes dont give a .$&&$? about losing one game.
2. When a very good pitcher opens, the price you pay for it is very high, and usually the bullpen f..ks it up.
3. If you lose 2 bets, you need to win at least 3 games of -135 to get even.
but thats not so easy because of number 1 and 2 reasons.
4. The only way i see it, is the over / under bet, that pays usually -110, or seek for sides that pay -110 or pick, but always play sides that pay that, so if you lose one, you can get even winning one.

well thats my humble opinion.

my play :

Cincy.

Sure winner :0074 :mj07:

MLB AND NBA the easier sports to wager on.
the long seasons /consistent scheduling/travel give way to patterns if you look closely between the lines you can find them. mlb is mainly about momentum and law of averages. in mlb look to bet on the team. not on who is pitching.
i want to invest my money on 8-guys versus one guy {the pitcher}. betting solely on a starting pitcher will surely take you broke. just because say for example josh beckett is 18-3 vs. cleve in his career. that stat has no value to me on my wager today. mlb rosters change dramatically year to year. most starters go 6-innings today. why would i bet my money on a player who is only going to play 2/3rds of trhe game. they dont pay off wagers if you lead after 6-innings. couple that with daily bullpen/closer implosions. betting on pitchers is not very smart.
look to play teams in the -150 to plus 150 range. look to play teams that are hitting well. look at the box scores. look at how a team is hitting. 2-out rbi....runner left in scoring position...left on base....stay away from teams that are struggling in these stats. look to play teams that are perfoming well offensively getting key hits and scoring runs....this isa team thats in a zone. its good momentum that usually will carry over to the next day. look at yesterdays results to make my plays today....teams in a funk usually stay in a funk....and vice-versa teams getting key hits usually stay hot this is contagious.

dont give up on mlb...be selective with your wagers and find teams that are priced right and are playing well offensively.
its pissing down rain here in pittsburgh, saw your post figured i throw my .02 cents out there
hope helps you a little....
good luck burgh....
