wolfpack is very physical team and they can hurt wake inside. wake has size inside, but its youthful and inexperienced size, and one thing that really hurts wake at times is their interior foul trouble. prosser has them playing aggressive basketball- but ncsu should go right at them because danelius and williams can be scored on. also, its worth noting that wake has a HUGE trifecta of lookahead games.

wake's next 2 weeks schedule:
tonight..............nc state
sunday.............at marquette
wednesday......duke
sunday.............at maryland

im confident that wake is content to just get the win tonight and then move on to those 3 huge games. with a young team like wake in a major lookahead spot- its tough to pass on a live dog in nc state tonight.

planned on only playing one game, but added this one, albeit smaller:

1 unit....maryland over 153.5
williams and the terps want to run. and their 2 recent games (excluding their pseudo-exhibition game with loyola last sunday) have come against the only two "grind-it-out" acc teams, clemson and nc state. both teams really stalled the ball and tried to play ugly. the good thing for maryland is the one team that get sucked into their tempo year in and year out is virginia. these two teams always seem to run....and run....and run.

last years meetings were shootouts.
1/31/02 in virginia.......91-87 terps win
3/03/02 in maryland...112-92 terps win

hell, even goin back two years ago:
1/31/01 in virginia.....99-78 cavs win
3/03/01 in maryland...102-67 terps win

i dont normally use stats and past results to cap. but when it comes to totals, its worth noting how teams try to "attack" one another. clearly, both these teams have no shame just pushing the tempo, almost takin the "ok, the sooner you score on us is the sooner we can get it back down the floor and score 3 on you" approach.
