I just don't get what makes guys like Bill O'Reilly want or feel the need to attack guys like Murtha that have served our country when in fact Bill was another one of these wannabe backyard risk playing soliders that took deferrments to get out of duty when his services were needed by his country. I could understand comments coming from a guy like Colin Powell that actually is a former solider that served and has a basic grasp of just what sacrifices these great people endure but from guys like Cheney, Limbaugh and O'Reilly it makes no sense.

On Today Show, O?Reilly Compares Murtha With Hitler Sympathizers
Bill O?Reilly on the Today Show this morning:

These pin-heads running around going, ?Get out of Iraq now? don?t know what they are talking about. These are the same people before Hitler invaded in WWII that were saying, ?He?s not such a bad guy.? They don?t get it.

It's funny to see these liberals complaining about "attacking military heroes". Just because someone served in the military 30 years ago doesn't make his opinion gospel. Like you liberals treated Ollie North so well huh? lol

Would you say John Kerry was a coward for constantly refusing to agree to an interview on the #1 cable news show in the country??

Oliver North would fit right in with the current regime, he could be head paper shredder. To the best of my knowledge Murtha has never been linked to questionable ethical behavior like North

I'll tell you what. I choose not to watch O'Reilly except on rare occasion. I can't stand his style and his one-upsmanship goal with every guest he disagrees with. Without exception, I never listen to Rush as he's utterly unbearable. Also, O'Reilly's Factor Radio program is much better than the TV version.

If they all would have stood up and say your damn right we did it and here is why..
America as a whole would have been behind it for the most part

I agree with Palehose. It was sad the way the Contra rebellion was squashed. With them all being tortured and killed by the hard-core Iranian government. If only those Contras would have been successful, Iran would be a much nicer place today.

Yeah, that makes perfect sense, Manson. Equating bravery to showing up on a right-wing Fauxnews talk show and having a professional talker shout you down and cut you off as you try to give a differing viewpoint. Hannity is exactly the same...Fauxnews puts up the dorkiest-looking, poorest-communicating people to defend democrats and liberal ideas on these shows, and they can't get an important word in edgewise if they start embarrassing them.

I consider it a little more brave to enlist and fight for the U.S., run for public office and succeed there than it is to go to college, get a degree in communications, and host a television program where you control the conditions and subject matter.

Yeah, O'Reilly and Hannity are real tough guys...I'd love to see them go one on one with an aging John Kerry. He'd have them choking for air in about 10 seconds, I would guess.

O'Reilly is scared to death of Al Frankken, old AL has called him out numerous times! I could be wrong but I believe Frankken was a great wrestler in his day. Limbaugh, O'Reilly and Cheney are all talk they all would cower if they were actually threatened and none of the three would have the balls to talk about someone like they do in the street. Of course they may take action for the following: a woman then O'Reilly would stalk her, or a tab of Vicodin then Rush would attack it and of course if it was a fifth of Southern Comfort Cheney would kill for it!

MC Evidently you have never heard Oreilly speak with utmost respect of Murtha---WHY is you liberals have to resort to this Micheal Moore reporting.

Per your
On Today Show, O?Reilly Compares Murtha With Hitler Sympathizers

I defie you to show me "anywhere" where Oreilly refers to Murtha to Hitler-coward or any negative attribute--I have heard him (not cut and chop interpretations) use nothing but respect in any acknowledgement of Murtha.

Here is his quote in interview--YOUR using to interject Murtha for pinheads.

From Today:

O'REILLY: These pinheads running around going, "Get out of Iraq now," don't know what they're talking about. These are the same people before Hitler invaded in World War II that were saying, "Ah, he's not such a bad guy." They don't get it.

Also link to video of entire segment--show us where he mentions Burtha
http://mediamatters.org/items/200511300009

Your opening line--
I just don't get what makes guys like Bill O'Reilly want or feel the need to attack guys like Murtha that have served our country

To that I ask you is it ignorance that you can't tell the diff from liberal interpretations and fact-- or is it you can but just have agenda---

Now you got 2 choices you can gain some credibilty by showing us "factually"one quote where Oreilly even remotely defames Murtha or you can back out like a sand crab and come back with more liberal opinionated opinions to support previous spin.

Manson, of COURSE O'Reilly is begging Kerry to come on his show and "debate" him. He needs attention and money, which is what that would bring him. Kerry needs neither, and would be forced - as I said - to do it under O'Reilly's format and planning. How many Republican Senators have "debated" liberal talk show hosts on their turf? Ridiculous analysis.

What does Kerry have to gain, or prove? He's been there, done that, unlike O'Reilly who does nothing but study, research, write talking points and has an audience that is sculpted for him and worships him. O'Reilly is dynamic and interesting, to be sure, but he has everything to gain in this scenario, and Kerry has NOTHING to gain by it. Especially on O'Reilly's turf.

Is he chicken of O'Reilly? I would not want to go on his show and let him set everything up to his benefit. O'Reilly has nothing, NOTHING, to lose and everything to gain.

How about Bush going on Ed Schultz's show? Cheney? Rummy? Frist? Delay? Now THAT would be entertainment.

Number 1 show that DOMINATES cable news and a salary of over over $25 Million contract. How do you figure that he "needs money"??? or "attention?"

Even if Kerry were man enough to come onto his show, how would that get O'Reilly more money? Of course it would attract more viewers, hell I'd have to set my VCR for that interview!!!!!! :mj07:

BTW Who the hell is Ed Shultz??? lol :mj03:

How would setting my VCR bring O'Reilly more money?

I'm picturing O'Reilly right now counting his giant pile of millions of dollars and thinking...."You know, if I can only get John Kerry on for an interview it will make me rich". :mj07: ]

Chadman you are priceless...please never change!!
