Well, my 8-game winning streak came to a halt with Seattle on Tuesday. Hopefully, I could start a new streak tonight.
ORIOLES/RED SOX Under 8 -120 ? Pedro has pitched like, well, Pedro his last 2 outings, hurling 15 scoreless innings while unbelievably allowing just 2 hits! His last effort came in Baltimore last Thursday, when he went 7 innings and allowed 1 hit while recording 10 strikeouts. I see no reason to believe that the Orioles will score more than 2 runs tonight, with 0 or 1 run probably more likely. This gives us some breathing room should Douglas have another wild outing like he did last week, when he allowed 3 runs on 3 hits but with 6 walks in 3.2 innings. Besides, Douglas did hold Boston to just 2 runs and 3 hits in 5.1 innings the last time he faced them, and he is backed by a bullpen that has been surprisingly effective, with a pen ERA of 3.47 and a good pen WHIP of 1.38.
