Orioles signed RHP Alex Cobb to a four-year, $57 million contract.
Cobb agreed to the deal on Tuesday evening and promptly passed his physical on Wednesday morning. This was a pretty nice score this late in the spring for the 30-year-old right-hander, especially with Lance Lynn having to settle for a one-year, $12 million contract from the Twins last week.
Cobb is expected to spend a bit of time in the minors when the season opens so that he can get properly stretched out. He figures to join the Orioles' rotation around mid-April.
