Good stuff Doc :mj07: I actually had a kid that I coached a few years ago have the same thing happen to him. His mother pulled him off our team for two weeks. He called me to convince his mom to let him back on the team. Kid made all city this year

Boarding is when you hit the other guy in the back, as they are facing the boards. Concussions, spinal damage, paralysis, are sometimes too common from those checks. :scared
Charging is when you take MORE than 2 strides to hit a player. This penalty is usually misinterpeted, and is called roughing, high sticking, elbowing or some other penalty. Many times this happens throughout the game and is never called. Because of this non-call, the games usually get rougher.
Boarding such as this one, should be a minimum of 5 minutes. Although a referee could certainly have given the player a game disqualification. Which would mean he would be removed from the game, possible suspension for the next game, and a 10 minute penalty(man short) against the team assessed. If the penalized team is scored upon, even multiple times, the player stays in the box for the full ten minutes. This type of penalty is rarely called, but if the player who ran this kid has been playing like this throughout the game, then it should be called.
