Just going to comment on some of the things going on in college and some pro's..
Coach's Clinic in Las Vegas this summer will be called "The Wild Bunch". That is one of Boxes favorite all time movies.Good old Sam Peckinpah [sp] and an old time western.
Guest speakers will be Coach You-stay-she,Tark himself,Jim"look me right in the eye Dickie V" Harrick and Bonnies van Breda Kolff.VBK is suing claiming he didn't know about his players "welding degree".He knew from day 1 and so did about 4 or 5 other coaches who turned this kid down.Unreal.
Also Price might stop by.Did anyone read the SI article.You knew there had to be more to that story.He can't remember what he did.
I believe madjack himself is organizing the "Wild Bunch" clinic.Please add here in this forum any coaches I might have left out.
TJ Ford is going to the NBA.Wish he would of stayed.I hate to see all these kids like Bosh of GT,Mo Williams of Bama,Thomas of ND,and my favorite Jameer Nelson of St joes.
I wish these kids would talk to Matteen Cleaves,Juan Dixon,Omar cook,Dan Dickau and Kareem Rush.Because all of them avg 2 to 3 pts a game.Juan avg'ed 6 shooting terrible.I know they will get better but....
A lot of guys are trying out.Kaman,Austin,Emmitt,etc.I guess with the new rules you can go to the pre-draft tryouts in Chicago and still go back to college.
Speaking of new rules.The lane and 3 pt line will be approved.
And speaking of Rule breakers....C'mon NCAA.What the hell are you doing to Michigan. I know you have to punish but why the current kids.All this happened between 1992-98.UM agreed to take all the banners down,strike the fab 5 names,etc,etc.Give back the money,etc,etc.I wonder with the 120 games forfeited would that of saved some coach on the bubble.
I'm not sure what the NCAA should do but Webber and co who took all the money should be sued.Webber is also going to do jail time for lying to the grand jury.I believe he cannot plea bargain this.
Big news in the Big east...what is the evil ACC doing? Leave us alone.But if Miami goes its a "domino" effect.The Cuse will go and BC.BE football will have 5 teams.ACC needs 7 of 9 schools to vote yes.Duke and NC say no.I hope that doesn't happen.
If they do then the BE will break up and a "Catholic"league will form with Nova,Johnnies,Geor-town,Prov,Hall, and maybe Marq,Dayton,XU,DePaul,North Texas St,St louis,and Notre Dame.

Favorite story..this week..Paul Silas goes over to Shinn's house,the owner of the Hornets.Paul has just been notified he was fired by a phone call from someone in the front office
It starts out as a "knock,Knock' joke
Knock,Knock.....
knock,knock
knock,.....[no answer] Silas yells inside "I know someones in there.
Then he rings the chimes..
rrrrrrrrrrr,.....
rrrrr....
rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr......ing [no answer]
Chimes are disconnected.
Back to knock,knock....
Finally someone says who is this"
'Its Paul Silas,who is this.
I',m Mr Shinns son.......... Then tell your father to get his ass here..
He can't,he's taking a shower...
Silas..says then I ain't leaving...
A few minuts later Shinn appears at the door.
Silas wants an explanation on why he fired him.
No one knows what happened next...Silas does live right next door to the owner..Shinn did show up to work the next day with something up his ass.
Red Auerbach defending the fans in Boston and responding to Kidd and Nets coach Scott said "What the hell does he know" about our fans.Scott had said many Bostonian's at the garden are drunk,etc.
Then with a few minuts left the other nite Walker goes after a fan in the stands.Walker said this guy has been bothering and heckling him for yrs.Tonite I "broke".
gotta run.Playing a few baseball games.Playing my beloved Phillies.Always play my neighbor Matt Morris.
Picked up L'box from college the other nite.Her freshman yr went so fast.Entire drive home was about the word "curfew".She feels she shoudn't have one since she's in college.Box feels differently,althoughi'm somewhat leniant.We talked about 1'oclock and sometimes 2,etc.Calling us when your late,etc.
Will give live updates in Out of the box part 3 and 4.
And North Texas St is thinking about becoming a cathloic school.
