Just some comments about college hoops and Army football
You-stay-see..what the hell are you thinking.I know Mrs. You-stay-see and you are doing fine.The penalty of your wife and kids reading and seeing all this is enough.You did something really stupid.Can't wait for next yrs away games in the B-12.
I'm glad to see Dale Brown recovering from his stroke.There are a lot of people that don't like Dale.But if you ever saw him at a clinic for just 1 minut that would change your mind.One of the greatest motivational speakers.Tells such great stories and many times has 300-400 coaches with tears in there eyes.All he does now is speak and hopefully he will recover.His talks are not about X's and O's but coaching and life.
There are so many coaching changes.of course Williams and Self got all the headlines.

The great Jerry Steele finally retired from High Point,NC.Any of you North Carolina fans know what I'm talking about.He won over 600 games and coached almost 40 yrs.
And how about Jim Phelan from Mt St Marys.He coached 49 yrs with over 800 wins.And I loved what all the coaches did on the final game of the season.They all wore the Phelan "bow tie".That what awesome.
Columbia hired Nova's top asst Joseph Jones.Great move.He was at Hoftra with Wright and is a fellow NY HS coach.Problem is none of the Nova players can get into Columbia academically.Not dissing Nova but Joseph is going to have a tough time getting kids in.
One of my all time favorite coaches is Dr.Tom Davis from BC,Stanford and Iowa.I'm so old I knew him when he coached at Lafayette.He was named the new coach at Drake.What the heck is he doing.I luv the guy but Drake is in Iowa.Wait a minut.If Larry You-stay-she falters at Iowa St how far is Drake from the ISU? Nobody can attack a zone better then Davis.Problem is the Mizzou Valley all play man.
I'm glad Crean stayed at Marquette.Felton to Georgia.I want to see Dickie V's interview with Harrick again.Didn't he look him right in the eye and say......
Mike Deane a good friend of mine was fired from Lamar.Mike started out coaching NY HS,then had 4 of Boxes players at Delhi Jr Col,then to Siena,then to Marquette and ended up at Lamar.Good coach.Hope he finds another job somewhere.
Today Butch van Breda Kolff spoke out.He claims he didn't know one of his players didn't have a juco degree.Butch get real.Why the Bonnies ever hired youi'll never know.And to think you followed Jim Barron.And speaking of Barron,what a great job he did at URI.
Well NCAA is meeting today about b-ball rules changes.Might go with trapeziod lane going 16 feet instead of 12 feet.Moving 3 pt back from 19-9 to 20-6 and using more replays.I kinda agree on those changes.
Army football update....In spring game Berry said his 4 qb's are all about even.What that means is they all stink.So everyone in the Army including Rumsfield convinced Nevels who quit the team to come out.Nevels reconsidered and will play.Berry said "he will have to earn a spot". ha..
Gotta run.My next door neighbor Matt Morris is pitching.I took the under 7.5. Another local kid Joe Nathan is kicking butt with the Giants.In 17 innings his ERA is 000.Dee Brown who was "boxed" by me when he played HS ball is also hitting 300 for KC.
