Two overnight plays since I may be busy at work all day. Good luck.

Boston PK +105 over CAROLINA 400/420 (Sportsinteraction)

Boston is super hot scoring outside of their recent loss to Dallas. Carolina is giving up lots of goals and returns home from a great road trip on one day's rest, a situation I always like to fade.

Anaheim vs. DETROIT under 5 1/2 -135 200/148 (Sportsinteraction)

Since I have not had great success with totals, I will tread lightly here. Basically this looks like a mismatch so the Ducks should have trouble creating enough offense to help send the score to six goals.

Hey Nick

I like both of your plays, especially the UNDER - Yzerman or not. I also like Anaheim getting the 1.5 goal here.. before allowing the empty netter vs Columbus, the Ducks played 11 consecutive road games without losing by more than 1.. and guess what.. 8 of those went under the total (+ 2 "pushes")... might try a little STP as well.. the opportunities are rare this year, but here's one

Good luck tonight Nick, and Happy New Year

katts,

I can't believe I missed that. A S/T parlay would fit perfectly here so I am going to play one later today. Only thing with ANA is that I worry that things will even out as far as all those one goal losses are concerned. Good luck to ya and thanks.

I was see-sawing on this all day so I added a little side/total/parlay play. Good luck.

MINNESOTA -1/2 -105 over Tampa Bay 500/476 (Grand Central)

Tampa Bay vs. MINNESOTA over 4 1/2 -130 500/385 (Grand Central)

MINNESOTA -1/2 & over 4 1/2 parlay 200/480 (Sportsinteraction)

Minny has shot over 10% consistently in their last five while Tampa has surrendered over a 10% shooting percentage in four of their last five. Khabibulin should be in goal and he has been slumping, giving up at least three goals in his last three outings. Check out IE's page for good thoughts on the over but in short, with both teams being badly outplayed last time out, they will both likely loosen things up to get more opportunities.

I like those plays, Nick. Good luck. I could not decide on the 1 best play tonight so I decided to take 2 for smaller amounts. Risking 1/2 a unit on each

TB/MIN Ov 4.5 (-130) Seems to be a popular choice and the stats/trends point to the over.

BOS/CAR Ov 5.5 (+100) If the last 5 games are any indication this could be a shootout. Both PP clicking of late.

"New" season 0-1

-1 Unit.

Sorry Nick for the "bad" STP suggestion - really thought this was a good one... Detroit's power play killed the Ducks..

katts,

Don't sweat it. I've decided that parlays and totals just aren't my thing so I am going to focus on sides for the forseeable future. It will take a lot of discipline because some of them look so tempting, but I have got to get my hockey results turned around.
