I don’t enjoy drama and I feel an explanation of exactly what I’m talking about is necessary for anyone who cares. I don’t even go on forums nor post anywhere on the internet unless I need to do it for business purposes.
The exception has been this genuinely awesome forum Jack created over 25 years ago. I loved it because men could come and talk about sports and share gambling insights. I never interacted with people like “The Boys” because I knew exactly who they were—lame and not people who I associate with whatsoever. Never thought anything except this place was a great place to escape from the pressure of all of our other responsibilities and I loved the common respect amongst everyone.
Until I encountered the below. This was the first, but not last of stupid crap. Trying to spin things and manipulate people doesn’t work with people who have worked in DC lobbying and many other things people could only do because they are getting paid. I’m nobody. And that’s exactly why it frustrates me that some people think they can get away with taking advantage of other people’s valuable website and members helpful contributions and turn the experience rather annoying and unpleasant. The real world is stressful and difficult sometimes; work and the pressure that comes with it isn’t always fun. But this place always has been the carefree and filled with respect.
I’m only saying this for full disclosure. I’m trying to make this fun for everyone, not just certain people who think they can say whatever they want because they hang around. Because if that was how it worked, people who operate respectfully would lose out on being a part of this awesome place Jack built. All good no matter what. I should have made myself clear before: I don’t threaten or pretend I’m any tough guy, but if you said any of these things to someone’s face not personally knowing them well you would see their eyes and understand exactly what I meant. Yet, you continue and I only care because it is annoying to people who have genuine respect for others. We are men, not fraternity brothers who have never met personally and communicate via the internet.
Remember Friday night Texas vs A&M. Jord had a lot of money on the line and if you paid attention to how he kept sticking to his guns, you would realize that you do actually F around and perhaps hope good people lose. Basic logic and life, genius.
