Menard is a good pick. In the last four races at Pocono he has the 5th best average finish with a 11.0.

. Jeff Gordon, #24 Drive to End Hunger/Axalta, Hendrick Motorsports [Yahoo Class A]
Gordon has been excellent at Pocono lately, finishing sixth or better four times in his last five starts at the track. More importantly, he has a pair of victories during the stretch and has three wins at the track since 2007. Throw in the fact that Gordon has 10 top-10 finishes in his last 13 starts, and he provides a nice blend of reliability and upside this weekend.

Between Gen6 and Friday?s practice being rained, this week is difficult to handicap. One driver that stands out is Kevin Harvick 15-1, this is not his best track, but he tested there earlier, also he was fifth best at final practice. Pocono is one track that needed a lot of testing with the new Gen6 car.

After watching last week?s race I was in agreement with Old School that Smoke ain?t got nothing, now I am starting to change my opinion. This is why I am taking a closer look at Smoke, currently at 25-1, tested at Pocono, one of his better tracks, Steve Addington is one of the better crew chiefs, Hendrick motor. Before winning Dover he finished seventh at Charlotte, its possible Stewart-Hass has turned their program around.

like Tony as a driver and what he appears to be as a person..

but....he and crew got a huge break when JJ wanted to steal what was already his to take home at last weeks race..

9 straight races with about nothing and now 2 consecutive good showings..

gotta show me more:0003

I agree with your thinking Old School. I try to find the best value I can with the lines, I feel that Smoke is better than the price the bookmakers are putting up. It could very well end up that you were right about Smoke (The Sportsbook?s don?t have much faith in him opening at 20-1).

As favorites Jimmy Johnson and Denny Hamlin are going to be hard to beat. I expect Hamlin to go all out for the win, despite Toyota?s engine problems, JGR holds a 5-4 edge over Hendrick with wins this year. Pocono may prove to be very challenging on the Gen6 cars. Even though my bet may go up in smoke, I?ll take Stewart for the win here.

To Win:

Gordon - 12-1
Kurt Busch - 20-1
Stewart - 10-1
Junior - 13-1

Both Gordon and Busch were placed on Thursday am. Good luck - I hate Pocono
