Hey, have you heard anything on the new goodyear tires? Been doing a little recon along with 2 others, trying to get a jump on changes. Figured you might have heard something in your neck of the woods. I will continue to use Hoosiers on the front, as I'm sitting on a pile. But I have read (rumors?) that there are some issues on the new tires regarding.
1. possible limited stagger amounts.
2. the new compounds are so hard and sidewalls so stiff the tires can not be stretched.
3. the widths are different which results in having to buy new wheel halves to componsate.
A local track I run was supossed to be an open tire rule this summer allowing the budget guys along with IRA guys to burn off inventory. But with the chance of the track to get in Goodyears pockets with contract money. We may have to start the season on Goodyears.
