Yeah, I would think the line should be around 20 or 21. Eagles are awful and the line will be inflated if McNabb doesn't play. Funny thing is, he's not much better than Feeley, so I'd love to see him play and have that drop the line a few points.

When was the last time an NFL line was in the 20s?

I would like to see some stats on that if in fact it is that high.

I hope it is -17ish against the Ravens so I can pound the Ravens.

First loss to the Ravens. Jack will be happy also.

What would make you want to bet against the pats. there is no such thing as an inflated line with this team. They proved tonight that they are dominant theres no way i would ever look forward to betting against these guys.

I am kind of a homer. But I really do think Baltimore will get the job done.

I understand they can dominate very easily. Maybe it is just my homerism talking.

Sports bettor RJ Bell, who runs a betting Web site, said his research shows that the biggest point spread since 1980 came in 1993 when San Francisco was a 23-point favorite over Cincinnati, a game the 49ers won just 21-8. During that time, there have been only five games with a point spread of more than 20 points.

I live in Philly area and been watching the Eagles for yrs. Mcnabb totally sucks right now. He seems to have lost his confidence and if he didnt go down on Sunday the Dolphins would have gotten thier 1st win. Mcnabb however doews play a little better on the rd as I think the Philly fans unnerve him.

All data from 1980 to present

FWIW...as we all know lines change from house to house and from bookmaker to bookmaker..AND FURTHERMORE ..can reach an unthinkable number for just a short period of time..

reminds me of a story a very well known and profitable "investor" told be once..

If ya can make or accept on advice a "play of the year" or "play of the season" or "play of the month" or "lock of the day" and then question the play when the line moves a point or so then you shouldn't wager at all..Wagers given such tags are meant to do one thing and one thing only..............COVER

Mike and Mike from ESPN asked me for some NFL pointspread reserach, and I guess I went crazy with numbers. They talked about some of these numbers on their show on Friday. I want to thank Marc Lawrence for help with this research.
