ne, decent night for football in Foxboro, expect 39 degrees with fairly light winds less than 10mph.

You probably know David Patton OUT KNEE, Troy Brown playing but is totally not healthy, this limits 5 wide passing sets which Patriots want to neutralize Cowboy blitz. The general formula and for Defense against Patriots offense is rush 4 defend passing attack with 7, if you blitz Brady, they will make you pay.

Brady has only been sacked4 times over last 4 games. Unlike Bledsoe or Ramsey, Brady is very efficient at getting the ball away to hot receivers during blitz, I can't stress how efficient he is at this. Patriots will counter those blitz packages with short passes & quick hit traps with A Smith, who runs extremely well downhill. You saw this against Denver last Monday night. With branch, givens, Graham, Johnson etc. they have enough receivers with absence. They brought Kevin Johnson in Tuesday after Cleveland cut him Monday, they sent him out after 2 hours, that says Bellchick is still comfortable with guys here.

Additionally I'm nowhere near sold on Cowboy Defense, even parcells privately admits there not that good. Basically they have shut down offenses ranking #27 through #30 in the NFL. These include Atlanta Washington Buffalo Philly, and #24 Jets, big deal. And Atlanta scored on them and won, Tampa who is struggling (4-5) dominated them. This was the only game prior to tonight Dallas played on grass, and believe 27-0.

Gillette, lots like giant Stadium is difficult and to kick in after October, and especially at night. Patriots hold huge special team edge here.

Patriots weathered a incredible injury string, and managed to go 7-1 after injuries. Ted Johnson, Ted Washington, and TY LAW ALL practiced this week and will see time.

Never like the number 4, but love Patriots tonight for many many reasons. Try to always be objective analyzing this club, call me a HOMER if you like, but I got pretty good money playing Buffalo & Washington this season against New England.

giving Bellchick 2 full weeks to prepare against young Carter will show big, he will resemble the confused rookie he was last season.

Good luck
