American “peace activist” Tom Fox was apparently tortured before his death.

BAGHDAD, Iraq - An American aid worker taken hostage with three other peace activists was apparently tortured before he was shot in the head and chest and his body dumped near a railroad line in Baghdad, Iraqi police said Saturday.

Tom Fox, a 54-year-old member of Christian Peacemaker Teams from Clear Brook, Va., was the fifth American hostage killed in Iraq. There was no immediate word on his fellow captives, a Briton and two Canadians.

The U.S. command in Baghdad confirmed that Fox’s body was picked up by American forces on Thursday evening, although it provided no information on the condition.

Interior Ministry Lt. Col. Falah al-Mohammedawi said Fox was found with his hands tied and gunshot wounds to his head and chest. There were cuts on his body and bruises on his head, indicating torture, he said. The corpse was dressed in Iraqi-made clothing."

come`on....we all know that torture only occurs at abu and gitmo.......

what about the geneva convention? ....lol

at least,he loved his enemies... apparently, they also enjoyed their time with him...

Very disappointed that you appear to find joy in the torture of a peaceful human being. Have we become so jaded that we celebrate any action, no matter how hideous, that can be twisted to somehow make our point look stronger. Just because the person was a "peace activist," in quotes as you put it, does not mean that he is any less of a human being than a brain dead woman or an unborn baby.
No one is saying that these pieces of $hit that do these things should not be eliminated. What we are saying is that George Bush is not eliminating them. He is making more terrorists.
I will have to hope that I misinterpreted your writing and that you are not being glib at the terrible death of a "peace activist" as you put it.

i find no joy in this....after reading many of my posts,i`m surprised anyone would think i feel anything other than disgust toward these monsters...and sympathy for their victims...

the gitmo remark needs no explanation...this was torture...not,"oh, no!... those poor people in gitmo haven't had their prayer rugs dry cleaned in over three days!"

the irony is so thick, you couldn`t cut it with a knife...

this fellow was a member of "the cpt"(christian peacemaker teams).....

read up on them...

ironically,he was tortured and murdered by by the good shepherds of the religion of peace......

i feel very badly...for this misguided soul...and his family in particular...

actually,he was on their side...he was in israel standing in front of bulldozers...blocking the building of the wall that is saving issraeli lives from suicide bombers...surely he knew that demonstrating against the israeli wall was the same as actively supporting free passage for terrorists...

what`s pathetic is that these stupid jihadis cant even make use of their useful idiots....

whatever group tom fox was a part of puts out a statement saying "they do not blame the people who tortured and killed him because they are "oppressed people"???.......

and here, ladies and gentlemen, is the best prima facie evidence of the left being truly insane that you'll ever see.....

the guy was a knucklehead...of course,he didn`t deserve this....i`m not happy he`s dead.....no one deserves this...

that`s the difference between our civilized society and the barbarians we fight...know the difference...

loving your enemies (those who hate you and would do you harm) is all well and good....

when taken to the extent that you ignore the danger your enemies represent (as opposed to simply wishing them well and avoiding their knives and clubs), it's dumb...and worthy of pity.

but when you go so far in your love of your enemy as to hate your friends (those who would protect you) and not only assume the worst of them but to heap scorn upon them and avoid their protection, and even interfere in their protection of others, well, then, all I can say is that you're batshit insane.......

our soldiers are too kind, too noble, and too generous to do that, however.....they provide protection and rescue services to those who don't deserve it simply because they don't deserve the alternative......

pacifism isn't noble, it's lazy.....it depends on the protection of others, cannot exist without them...... it is an adult who wishes to be a child again, and avoid the harsh duty of adulthood......

but any ideal that can only work when everyone agrees (pacifism, communism, etc) is both doomed to failure and doomed to end up with those who work carrying the greater and greater burden of those who realize they can get a free ride.......

the cpt is on the american/mexican border supporting illegal immigration, in colombia supporting violent "farc" drug criminals, in israel supporting terrorists and in iraq supporting terrorists......

why do they mainly show up where they can be against america?..

they should be in aceh..... burma... nepal... tibet... iran... nigeria. or darfur.......

i do feel sorry for mr fox...and for his fellow moonbats...

because,in the end,it doesn't mattter how much you hate israel or america or yourself, the delicate palestinians/islamists still want to torture and murder you and sling your lifeless body into the ditch.......

GW, I was hoping that your remarks in your first post were not some kind of boasting as in a see I told you so kind of way. I apologize for misreading your statement.
But your second post intrigues me. These hideous people are allowed to exist because because non of our Iraqi, Muslim, or Arab friends are willing to turn them in.
I ask you just what is the mission over there and what will constitute a victory? And why should we support the administration that got so much wrong so far.

stevie...your last question is a good one....i explained the rationale for removing saddam....we see a similar scenario playing out in iran...

""I ask you just what is the mission over there and what will constitute a victory? And why should we support the administration that got so much wrong so far.""

iran...like iraq....with a nuclear weapon...effectively controls a large portion of middle eastern oil....and the straits of hormuz....just the threat that having a nuclear weapon...gives them them all the leverage...because nation states with sane leadership can`t gamble with the irrationality of an ahmadinnerjacket...or a saddam...

the acess to oil...and israel`s continued existence....aren`t items you can roll the dice on...

in the game of nuclear poker, the appearance of derangement is a huge advantage...

an iran...like iraq...that is pursuing a nuclear weapon....potentially throws open the advent of a full blown middle eastern nuclear arms race....

i`m sure that if saddam hadn`t been removed,he`d be furiously working to keep up with the jones`s(iran)...

there are so many reason to keep the lid on pandora`s box.....

as far as the goal in iraq..i don`t know if the term "victory" is applicable.....obviously removing saddam.....to make iraq self governing...self sufficient....capable of it`s own internal governance...capable of handling the insurgency with minimal assistance...

""why should we support the administartion that got so much wrong?""...

not sure that removing saddam was wrong...the occupational strategy?....the aftermath?.....that`s another story....

i can`t defend that...it appears...after the fact...that it`s been botched...badly thought out...

surprising that all these think tanks...all these startegical geniuses...didn`t realize that a handful of dissidents with i.e.d`s.......some suicide terrorist bombers .....along with an antagonistic,anti-war,anti-bush media...could totally undermine their efforts....

and bush is paying the price...

poor planning....terrible risk assessment...no arguments from me on that...

you are correct,imo..

and bush is paying the price...
