guy walks into the bar sat night glowing that penn st won, and it was just so amazing. i held my breath for a while til he asked me what i thought. i looked at there remaining schedule and said they will go 0-3. he couldn't understand why. and how dare i say that, needless to say we made a bet. they have to go winless in their last three games of the season. they are :
home to nebrasksa
at ohst
at wisc.

any thoughts??

The guy that walked into the bar sees an 8-1 team that has only lost to Alabama.

Most people see it differently.

That offense is pretty pathetic. If you throw out the games in which they were favored by 28 or more (Indiana St, E Michigan) they average about 17 points a game. The Northwestern game where they scored 34 skews that average a bit as well. (Northwestern has allowed at least 34 in every Big Ten game this year).

I see where your line of thinking is headed, playing three traditionally strong teams (Neb, @OhioSt, @Wisc). If Penn State loses one of the first two, then the last game at Wisconsin is probably for the Legends Division crown.

Penn State has a bye week this week to figure it out. If somehow they come away with a win at home against Nebraska, they could be sky high going into Columbus the following weekend knowing they can wrap up the Division title with a win against a beatable, but improving Ohio State team. Everyone else in the division already has two losses.

Somehow I see Joe Pa involved in the inaugural Big Ten title game on Dec 3rd. The numbers wouldn't say it, but my gut does.

It's no secret the 2 QB system is a joke, but with the week off and 2 weeks to prepare for Nebraska at home I see Penn State winning this game. I think they will stick with McGloin the rest of the year. They need to stick Bolden on the bench. The defense is going to keep them in every game, I don't see them beating Wisconsin but don't think they lose all 3.

Their D is the real deal, which keeps em in every game and gives them a chance to win but their offense :moon: I think they will beat one of the last 3 teams, most probably nebraska but don't see them beating ohio st. and wisconsin

Devil Dave is a hater, always has been.

Penn State wins at home vs nebraska & on the road against ohio state. oh st is not the threat they once were.

last game at wisky is meaningless bc penn state will have clinched place in big ten championship.

who was guy in bar C King? :mj07:

not gonna finish 0-3 IMO

our defense is legit...

remember, we played bama to a 27-11 final or something close to that..

in perspective, that is a pretty good game to give one of the best teams in the nation for a lowely big 10 team...even more so when you consider what they have been doing to everyone else around...

i think we beat ohio st infront of buckeye nation :toast:

we can contain nebraska's offense, and i tihnk we can do enough on D...

wisky scares me, but i am hoping they lose another one by then, and they will have really low motivation at that point....

i dont think we win em all, but i dont think we lose em all...

i would see much easeier PSU finishing 11-1 rather then 8-4...i dont think either happen, but think winning em all is much more likely then losing em...

i am not saying we are world beaters, but we are bettter then most think

our defense is nasty honestly...

i know i know, terrible argument, just trying to make a point that our offense isnt absolutley non-exsistent......just almost non-exsistent...:toast:

Penn state is done.

As is Joe Pa.

Sickening what happened there under his watch.

He should step down right now, if all the allegations are true he should be arrested.

I heard that Paterno learned of one of the cases, reported it to his superiors, then moved on without alerting authorities. If this is the case, then he broke the law. How the hell do you not alert the authorities?? Sickening.

Joe Pa needs to retire immediately for placing this child molester and his own selfish interests ahead of the vicitms. Repulsive behavior by the perp, as well as outrageously selfish, not to mention criminal, behavior by everyone who learned of this without alerting authorities.

Exactly!!!

He is responsible for his staff and the kids/ players that they come into contact with.

Everything that happened up there under his watch is beyond sickening.

He needs to step down immediately.

Now the story is getting major news on all the outlets.

Now if the ncaa gets pissed about tattoos and other nonsense would'nt you think that what happened at touchey feeley happy valley would warrant a look.

The whole football program is in trouble here.

Joe Pa will be forever tarnished by letting this shit happen, and what Sandusky did is beyond horrible but Paterno is just as guilty by knowing about this and doing NOTHING.

He will not last the season, or at least he should not last the season. I do not feel one bit sorry for Paterno regardless of what happens. Concealing the molestation of a child is the single worst act that a head coach has been accussed of in my lifetime.
