...............................................................

I got alot going on this weekend as our son is coming in from Texas and I may not get to watch many games.

The other games I considered wagering on were the Alabama Vs LSU game and South Carolina Vs Arkansas.

I spent alot of time on both games and came to the conclusion they are not what I am looking for in a winning wager for this weekend. They are more for watching and taking notes for the future.

This is the game right here.

Penn State gets Ohio State at home. This game will decide who may not get to a BCS bowl game and who knows what other dirty things that could happen to a team. The two defenses are above average. This should come down to which QB will play better and be able to throw it downfield for scores.

Several people have mentioned this in my threads and with only 4 games left in the regular season, I thought I would look back and see how I have arrived at this place in time.

1. I concentrate on teams that I know well.

Alot of people steer clear of the big games on national TV. I love these games.

Homework consists of watching the teams you intend to bet on. Every game if you can. Determine the back ups at key positions.

2. I start out very slow and do not wager until I have watched some damn games of teams I will bet on.

3. I do not play the games that fall during the week. I have historically lost lost lost on them
Why - Because I have never seen them play. I wouldl try to cap with statisticss and trends etc and it just dont work.

4. I refuse to be a homer for any team.

5. I reduce the risk. I give myself the best chance to win the wager. Even though the points do not come into play alot, I still have them there if the game goes unexpectedly south.

6, I have a large enough bankroll to get a good start and take a few large losses if I have to.

7. I pick the winner of the game.

8. In past losing years I would wager on 10-20 games a week at 50 to 100 each. Its a crap shoot. Reduce the games wagered on.

.................................................................

this is a work in progress , I will think about it some more.

The object is not to coatail others, but find a way that works for you to win consistantly.

Both quarterbacks -- Clark from Youngstown, Ohio, and Pryor from Jeannette, Pa. -- would like nothing better than to engineer wins that would break hearts back home.

"I think Daryll is the leader of the offensive football team," Paterno said after his 391st career victory Saturday. "He is a guy that makes us go."

Pryor, who chose Ohio State over Penn State and Michigan, is expecting a less-than-warm welcome from the fans in Happy Valley. He knows he won't be a favorite son.

"I'll probably get booed as soon as I go out to warm up," he said.

Ohio State offense vs. Penn State defense

? It may be tough sledding for the Buckeyes on the ground against a stout Penn State defensive front seven. DT Jared Odrick continues to cause plenty of havoc in the middle and it will be difficult for the Buckeyes' interior offensive line to keep him out of the backfield. This may sometimes force Ohio State to commit more than one blocker on Odrick. As a result, there will be extra room for a talented and instinctive linebacker corps to work with. OLB Sean Lee is back to 100 percent after suffering a knee injury and is coming off his best performance of the season, notching 12 tackles against Northwestern. In addition, the Nittany Lions' secondary is doing an excellent job of filling in run support and RBs Brandon Saine, Dan Herron and QB Terrelle Pryor are going to have to work extremely hard to find daylight.

PSU has the #1 defense in college football, #8 offense in college football. only allow one touch down per game. They are the highest ranked defense OSU has faced so far.

No one makes better adjustments that do the Nittany lions on defense. Navarro is healthy and Lee is healthy. Josh Hull is just as good as either of them. It's LinebackerU all day.

Tyrell Pryor couldn't find the endzone last year, abd he won't find it this year either.

Penn State offense is averaging 30 per game. Derek Moye, Gram Zuhg Chaz Powell are all young gamebreakers. PSU hase 3 very good backs and the best and feastest tight end in the confernce in Andrew Quarless.

I always make my wagers before I post in here.

The money is down.

All that is left is to strap yourself in , sit back, and enjoy the ride.
