Pet Peeve or just unnerving

I do not like it when I look to see where a poster is from and there is nothing there.

When I started posting here a long time ago, I think it was not optional, you had to put something in even if it was not true.

But most everyone always put a town or at least a state etc where they were from. Even now most of the old timers have their location in there.

But I personally get very aggravated when it just shows the date started and then number of posts.

How can putting your location in hurt anything, no one will go looking for you with that info.

Come on let's get back to at least knowing that about a fellow poster.
