I was watching him on the NFL Redzone, I watch most of NFL on that network, you get feeds all the time on scoring opportunities, instead of being bored by the announcers! :0002
:mj07:..glad you posted this....I just finished watching the ravens get pasted by their second nfc east opponent in the last 2 weeks(the dreaded redskins) and I`m thinking,"wtf?"...this team has injuries up the ying ying...1st round draft choice perriman`s been a no-show for over a month due to a "knee bruise"(I`ve since learned the guy had a congenital knee issue as an adolescent..just great) ....their second best receiver campanaro has more soft tissue injuries than janay rice after an elevator ride.....their haloti ngata replacement just came off the field with a knee injury (timmy Jernigan)...their second best corner`s been out the entire preseason with a hammy....the offensive line is a mash unit....their back-up rb will almost certainly sit week one...and his new back-up 4th rd draftee buck allen from usc is averaging around 2 yards a carry....
the team looks like it misses gary kubiak in a big way(he`s the guy that set up the blocking scheme that got perennial bench jockey Justin forsett 1200 + yards last year)....and he`s now coaching Denver who happens to be our week one opponent on the road ...
I was reading about Denver`s amazing defense (and on paper,it reads like a monster unit that can rush the qb and has great corners to boot)....
so,i figure,denver should utterly throttle the ravens in their opener in Denver...let`s get a little seed money in week one and we can take our time afterward and pick our spots.....so I put down a decent chunk of change on the broncos on the moneyline(laying 2-1...and I almost never lay odds..i parlay to avoid it most times)....I felt the ravens were looking that shabby....
then I turn on Denver vs san fran and I see peyton chucking ducks all over the place...underthrowing open guys in the end zone...fluttering even short passes over the middle....he`s moving around with all the athleticism and grace of david byrne in that big clunky suit......he really doesn`t look comfortable....something doesn`t look right...
had to be an anomaly...manning`s playing possum.....that offense will be their usual juggernaut-self on opening day with kubiak pulling the strings....
right ?.......shit....
