FLORIDA MARLINS +100 ? As fine a year as Philadelphia?s Padilla is having, I still feel that the Marlins have the better overall talent among these two clubs, making them an automatic play for me as a home underdog. Sure, Padilla is 9-4 with a 3.01 ERA, but he has not been nearly as effective on the road, where he has a 4.18 ERA and is allowing an opponents batting average of .259, which is significantly higher than the .235 the league is hitting against him overall. Tavarez is in fine form for Florida as he has reeled off 4 consecutive Quality Starts, with a 2.00 ERA and an excellent 1.22 WHIP over those starts. It should help that he is facing a Philadelphia team that is a horrible 10-23 on the road this year.

Phillies batting .200 last 10 and .159 the last 5 vs righties while the Marlins haave been hitting at clips or .283 last 10 and .285 last 5.

Like the Marlins here but like under 8 a bit more.
Good luck tonight-

UGH!

The Phillies scored more runs in this game than they usually score in 7 games! Oh well, at least I got this stinker out of my system early in the week.

Good luck.
