Like the looks of the under today in the Phils/Rocks game, several reasons.

- Umpire is 12-19 to the under this season, allowing an average of 1.8 HRs/game.

- Phils 3-7 last 10 to the under, hitting just .178 against lefties.

? Both starters and pens pitching well of late, especially lefty Rocky starter Morales who is 2-0, 0.76 WHIP, 1.59 ERA in last 3 outings. Kendrick has also been very good and run-resistant last 3. Both pens under 3.00 ERA last 3 games.

- Figure both teams to play hard and try to eliminate mistakes in a tight playoff situation, much more of a "just win" situation in playoffs (although both teams have been in this mode for a while, now, granted.)

10 seems a tad high to me, and with the above stats, I like the under.

Phils/Rockies Under 10 (-105) for 1*.

Good luck today. Only other current MLB bets are Red Sox to win both the AL championship and the World Series, made before yesterday.

Ok, here goes...get the other side while you can...

Taking the Yankees at -129 today. Just think the outlook of Pettite (in a big game), Chamberlain and the door slammer is a stronger look than Carmona in a big playoff game. Think the Yankees can shrug off yesterday pretty easily, and think the Indians might feel a tad tight if the Yanks get ahead, they might start worrying a bit about the split at home.
