Philly Park......

A couple my buddies and I take a trip each summer to a couple of different ball parks each year and we like to include a day at the races.....Last year we were in Milwaukee and Chicago and visited Arlington Park......This place could be heaven on earth as far as I'm concerned........What a gorgeous spot.......This year we're looking at the new park in Philly and Baltimore.....It doesn't look like they race in Maryland in the summer? Is this right? If we wanted to go somewhere around there, would we have to go to Delaware? Anyway, we are also looking at going to Philly Park...You guys should see their website........I thought it was the Smarty Jones website......Gimme a Break.......:moon:

Delaware Park is about 45 minutes south on Rt 95 from Philly Park. Your other option is Monmouth Park, which is about an hour and change from Philly Park.

Thanks FatBoy.....appreciate it. I didn't realize Monmouth was so close. I think we're going to try to swing that one somehow.....supposed to be a nice spot. Thanks.

I'm at Philly Park alot. Live about 10 minutes away. Usually hang out at the sports bar (2nd floor). If you want to hook up for a drink when your there, let me know.


I go to Monmouth once or twice per year. It's nice. Its an older track, but the atmosphere is pretty cool..

That would be cool Fatboy....I'll let you know when we get things hammered out a bit more. We're looking at the third week in July right now, but we're tossing around a lot of ideas, and it looks like we may have trouble squeezing everything in. :shrug:

Pimlico doesn't run in the summer, but I'm pretty sure it's sister track, Laurel, does. At least it used to run all summer. I don't think it's in Baltimore but it's somewhere in Maryland.
