One of the most overrated players in NBA history.....Jordan made Pippen...without Mike, Pippen is nothing better than a good player period. Pippen wasn't chit in Houston, and he is a disgrace now out in portland. I'm embarrassed for him everytime I watch the Blazers play.....and nice missed dunk there in the second quarter pip....your team is struggling at that point to score....down 0-2 in an elimination game of the playoffs, and you try to add a little mustard to the dunk and miss.....way to be a leader you joke!!!

UR right, I have noticed Pippens body languge ever since Blazers nefarious 4Q collapse 2 years ago ... I have commented on it many times, he is mind-f*cked by LA & Guru PJ (shaq & kobe, etc.)... people may laff at that, but i swear he doesnt feel the Blazers can win--i have seen this manifested in his demeanor many times, almost a self-mocking despair ...

I agree with mcity, pt & mav. I remember when Dale Davis was one of the best power forwards in the league with Indy, and now he's nothing more than some guy who comes off the bench to foul (Shaq). I see him & Pip walk around with these stone-cold looks on their faces, as if they have have no desire or will. Every team needs role players and Portland has very few, just a bunch of talented but selfish veterans. IMO that's not a real team. Phil's great with building chemistry and that's why the Lakers have been winning the past few years. They had to get rid of and bring in some players who would fit in the system. Blazers need to do the same.

I agree Kobe's had Pippen psyched out ever since the Lakers' first championship run. Pip used to be one of the best defensive players, but he could never be the primary focus on offense, even in his prime. He is not a team leader, never was, never will. The Bulls never amounted to anything when he was the "star" on the team.

And just like Gecko says, Dale Davis is grossly misused by Cheeks (granted, Cheeks wasn't given much to begin with at the center position). He needs to get out of Portland and play power forward somewhere else, because Portland needs a real center, and I don't think Davis will be happy playing as Wallace's backup.
