Last year the Piston used a suffocating defense to win the NBA and they have their entire team back.

SOOOOOOOOOO What has happened. I have lost a ton on them and totals.

Any thopughts would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Bill

IMO. the NBA invoked the "Pistons Rule" in the offseason, to enforce the hand-checking on the perimeter, with Detroit's teancious D in mind. As a result , scoring is up, as well as the overs, all around the league.

Det is 5-1 Over, as well as Minny, and Pistons have allowed 91+ in every game since the opener. The new rules stop the clock with the extra fouls, and of course more FT attempts.

Vegas will eventually adjust the totals, and maybe the refs will back off on the overzealousness, but in the meantime, it is an over players smorgasbord. Join the feast!

I am not a big NBA watcher, but maybe having the head coach out for two weeks might have had something to do with that. I see Larry Brown returned tonight, and they held Minnesota to 85 points, for the ATS win and under.

Minny had twice as many turnovers as Detroit in this one. Didn't see the game, but I don't know if Minny was careless or Detroit that tenacious on D. Minny was playing well when in the lead, but after Detroit hit some threes, Minny wasn't able to overcome the spread.
