I know this line is shady, UConn giving this much, but it's exactly what I expected. Why? Vegas loves home teams after a loss. Why do I like the money line, the exact same reason?
Pitt is one of the deepest teams in basktball and plays better defense then anyone. The problem is the play down or up to their competition. They can run with anyone for once, thanks to Krasuer who all too often tries to do much, but when he is on watch out. Okafur isn't as big as a factor as he has been in past years, they now have Taft. Who is one of the best players Pitt has ever had both physically and talent wise. Watch this kid because he will only be around for 2 more years!!
They still have Page who is a phenominal scorer from the base line and a high riser as well. Not to mention plays outstanding defense. Now on defense they have Chevy Troutman and Brown who are the two best offensive rebounders for their size in the country. Not to mention have an outstanding fg percentage. Where they lack however is free throw shooting, but if they shoot like they did in Miami, watch out Pitt could be blow out city against UConn.
In conclusion Pitt hasn't proved themselves on the road yet this year and this is by far their biggest challenge against a great scoring UConn team. However, they always start off sluggish and pull through with great d in the end. If they stick around the first half I love my chances of an outstanding home win against a team with a lot to prove to themselves and the country.
