curious for anyone's thoughts on the Pirates/Reds twinbill today. I usually do a mini chase on these, betting one team not to get swept...usually it is the home team, but the Reds as dogs is very tempting, especially winners of 6 straight. (but those 6 straight were at home, and now they are on the road)

At the same time, Pitt is hot too...Does anyone have any stats on Reds vs. LH pitching. 2 southpaws going for Pitt today. That would be the only thing that would steer me away from the Reds to at least win one.

 Let me know what you guys think - which team is more likely not to get sewpt?

Reds OPS is about 80 points lower vs lefties than righties.

STILL...Maholm is 0-2 with a 6.75 era vs the Reds in 3 starts this season.

I think Pitt takes the opener but the loses the 2nd game.

Reds could take 'em both, though, as Gorzelanny's lone meeting with the Reds, earlier this season, was pretty bad (for him).

I'm still tryin' (1)Pitt and (2)reds.

GL

P.S. I'd say Pitt is the team least likely to get swept, but if the Reds somehow take game #1 then I'll like their chances more in the closer.

the reds are 20-28 against left handers ......BUT 5-3 L8....&.....4-0 L4................... 2-8L10 first gm of DH...... I think the money is on the reds in game 1. when the money is on the dog against a strong #, I have to go the other way.
