Well now that its been a month of looking at places in New England with my fiance, I have to throw it out there for those in the area. So far our first two choices are the Bedford Village Inn in Bedford NH and the chapel at Phillips Exeter Academy in Exeter. If youve been to a wedding and/or reception in NE recently or you got married recently, drop me a line or please post your suggestions.

BTJ - We are shooting for one of the first couple of weekends in October next year, but all throughout New England we are getting higher rates because of the fact its the fall and everyone wants to be in New England during the folliage season. Thanks for the idea though, I will definitely keep the Cape in mind.

Since the Red Sox don't have a chance to sniff October, how about home plate at Fenway!:moon:

Ace,
I am sorry but I cannot give you any help in location, except that if it were me I would get married on a pleasure craft, just in case the consumation didn't live up to the billing. In which a well timed push puts me back on the list.;)

couple of quick ones, BTJ is right about coastal communities in Sept. or Oct. foliage will be in bloom farther north /inland you go.

Nantucket/ Martha's Vineyard/Cape, Marblehead (have a friend is banquet manager Corinthian Yacht Club) Seaport and Boston Harbor Hotels (Boston) and there are a couple beautiful churches within a few blocks of the hotel common and public gardens.

Ace,

I used to work for 15+ years at the best resort in Maine. Fall is awsome up here, rates aren't bad. Over 200 rooms, great 18 holes of golf, food, bev, fitness, everything you could want. Ask Jack for my e-mail if Maine is an option (u wont be disappointed)
