North Texas +10 first half (play of the month)
Here's what I think about this game:
Love the Athletisism of North Texas. Memphis usually has the advantage when it comes to athletisism, but not today.
Memphis is a huge concensus play today. 70.74% (see BobbyBlueChip's post) Going against the popular vote - think the line is over inflated.
The only thing that worries me is the coaching. Calipari is great and will have his kids motivated. Jones, the coach for N T seems to sit on his hands all the time. Very little coaching. I'm not even sure these guys run an offense 85% of the time. It reminds me a bunch of street ball but if you have the greyhounds to run it turn em loose.
I especially like the 1st half +10 today. It may be my strongest play of the year. If NT hits a few of its first shots, I think they are right at tied at half. Second half may be a different story but I'll take the 18 there too.
Love the underlying story here also. I'm sure CBS will spend some time telling the story of Rich Young, the 26 year old North Texas senior forward being a former Marine and Iraq war veteran. Feel good story of the tourney this year.
