Only one I truly like for today.... at this stage

Reasons (trying to keep yyz happy

) : Both teams have been awful with their shooting to date - they rank 23rd and 25th in FG ratings and last and 3rd last in 3-pt shooting. Both teams have rebounded strongly on the defensive boards. With the Clip coming off 2 OT games and the Hawks 24-41 O/U on the road last year and lacking players who can light it up, the under looms as my only play of the day/night.

Season to date: 16-6 (72.73%) +8.85 units
Sides: 8-3 (72.73%) +4.47 units
Totals: 8-3 (72.73%) +4.38 units

Last years trends are irrelevant right now due to new players--new rules.. throw them stats out the window.. This game features many young guys--and when young teams play each other they love to run... The question is how will they Shoot!!! Something else to think about is that this game could possibly go into O.T------ This is a hard game to Cap---but if i had to pick--i would say it squeaks over 100-96

Only trend/stat from last season is the Hawks' O/U road record. And while I agree things are different under the new rules, we've yet to establish whether that benefits offence or defence, over or under.
I also believe a trend towards the under on the road such as Atlanta's last season is highly attributable to mindset/attitude that won't change much despite new players and rules.
Don't think you can cap a game on the chance it could go to OT. That brings in all manner of intangibles as to how scoring may also go in the final minutes if close ...May be totally wrong on this; keen to know what other cappers think.
As you say, they may love to shoot, but if they shoot like they have so far they could run and gun all day and still not make the over.
Just MHO and not trying to shoot everything you've said down
