Hopefully, I can stay out of the red tonight. This 1-1 crap is killing me and I'm not alone. Let's ALL go and have a winning night tonight boys.

Thanks boys. Was feeling a bit frustrated when I posted.

Let's get 'em tonight.

Frogy - Got to be feeling good being a Montreal fan. Going back home after forcing the Bruins to get an empty netter to clinch the win like that. Outplayed & outscored the Bruins for the last 48 minutes of game 2. You are right, Theo didn't have his best stuff early but for 108 out of 120 minutes, it's been the Canadiens series. I kind of like them tomorrow for game 3. The way things are going, maybe I should bet them now for game 3 to insure a Bruin win. LOL. :D You are right, it's good every once in a while for the goalies to get a little sunburn on the back of their neck from all those red lights going on. Looking forward to your opinions on B's/Mtl game 3 and all the others tomorrow.

I felt that Theo was week on at least 3 goals on shut from far away. Boston might be tempted to shut from away and not to go to the net. I dont think theo will be that bad for two games in a row and such a strategy in the molson forum could be a bad one.
I was alos surprise about the fast paste tempo of the last game.

Do you think that boston will use a shut from away strategy?
What is your reading of boston away this year?

Frogy - I think Theo was "weak" on a couple of the goals. The first one of the game - Rolston partial breakaway - he should have had. Slapshot from top of circle thru the 5 hole.

B's second was deflected off of two sets of legs - don't think you can do too much about that.

B's third goal - Guerin breakaway. Enough said.

B's fourth goal - Rolston outside slapshot - kind of weak.

B's fifth goal - PJ Axelsson - was an outside blast but did you see all the traffic in front. Not too many would have had that one.

B's sixth - empty net. Enough said.

I think more than just shooting from anywhere & everywhere they have to concentrate more on getting guys to the front of the net. It's basic hockey. Put a body in front of the crease, make a "D" cover you and with the traffic bothering the keeper, start shooting. See PJ Axelsson's goal - that was textbook. Guerin in
front with the "D" man scrrening Theo and PJ blasting far corner.

Murray's goal (deflected off of two sets of legs) is similiar. Maybe the next time the deflection goes wide but with people in front of the crease - anything goes. I think that's more important than just shooting from outside. By just shooting, goalies save 99 out of 100 if no one is front.

I was very surprised at the tempo. With the magic number of 5 for the over/under - Bos/Mtl have gone over every game except two. Those games were "pushes" right on 5. I kind of expected the number to go over 5 but never thought it would hit 10. I expected a 4-1 or a 4-2 type of game...Never did I think I'd see 6-4

On the road this year, Boston like every other team, tries to keep it simple to eliminate the crowd. Translation - BORING. They will try to keep it very simple in their own end and get the puck out right away. Probably see a lot of dumping into the zone and make the Canadiens try to do something flashy. Hope they make a mistake "showing off" for their home fans and counter attack. I thik the scoring will be a lot lower tonight - maybe even getting the first under of the season for these two teams.
