Well I wasn't going to bet this college sesaon b/c we have our first kid on the way due Oct 1st, but I got the itch so I made a deposit at BetJamaica entered the Sunday night contest and figure I will bet until the baby comes or I lose my deposit so let's see what happens this month:
Beg balance $425
Northwestern -4.5 $220 to win $200
NW returns 16 starters 8 on each side of the ball. their D was horrible last year, but they should improve this year. Only concern here is the QB's first start is on the road. However Miami O only returns 2 starters on D from last year so he won't be facing a top D to start out. I also think with the Walker passing and the first game for new HC for NW gives them the edge they need to cover this one on the road.
TCU -6.5 $95 to win $86
For whatever reason I had some success in the MWC last year, especially with TCU. Look to have it again this year. TCU returns 17 starters :scared 10 on O and 7 on D. They just steamrolled the MWC last year, as they won their last 8 games by an avg of 21.9 points per game, they have a 9 game winning streak carrying over into this one and have high hopes to run the table this year and make a mess of the BCS. Baylor on the other hand for them had a good year with 5 wins. However 3 of those were in the first 3 games against SMU, Samford and Army. I know the same SMU team that beat TCU, but this is still Baylor. I think they will score some on TCU as they return their SR QB and their 2 leading rushers, but they only return 4 starters on D, and against this TCU O, that is not going to bode well for them right out of the gate. Look for TCU to pull away in the 2nd half.
Miss St. +6.5 $110 to win $100
I believe I am in the minority in this one, but with MSU returning 9 on a D that was pretty good last year against a SC team that ranked 100 in the NCAA last year in off and they return 6 starters from that team. I know the MSU O is bad, but I think they can put up a few points and keep this close in a low scoring affair.
Well this could be a short month of gambling if I go 0-3 :mj07: , but we'll see. Might add more to TCU should either of these two win.
Might be back later on Sat.
