Plays against (or for) bad teams - Part VI

Another 2-1 week last week, keep winning but can't get all three of them.

Maryland played out more or less like I called it and was a big play for the weekend. SMU came in with an easy cover and I lost the big battle of LA.

La Tech +1
Navy-3

I am going to continue to ride Navy. They are playing better every week and they really feel like they will get a bowl invitation if they keep winning. They play good defense against the option and should win this game by 10. La Tech is a play against Hawaii. They are back to their old play away from home. La Tech played uninspired last week against SMU, but will be ready to play this week, think they win by 14. Final play on MS St is a bet that Auburn will not score enough to cover. The only way I see them covering this game is a 28-0 type score and I just think MS St will get on the Board. Auburn will be conservative once they get the lean, so too many points in this game, Auburn wins by 14.

I also like UVA this week against FSU. I think they win outright. Also line AZ St over UNC. UNC has no defense, ASU will score at will and should win by 2 td's.

that is an excellent card.....i know rice has picked it up a notch,nit,the middies appear to be on a mission.....second away game in a row,though.....also was looking at az st to revenge last year`s shoot-out loss to the heels....again,nice looking card.....

Weasel, I honestly believe the away games are not as big of a deal for all the academies given their hectic schedules. Away games actually give them more time off than staying at home. This Navy team is very focused and really feeling good about themselves. Can't see them losing this week.

a stones throw from annapolis myself,i`ve been reading up on the mids and they not only want the com. in chief trophy,but a bowl game as well.....from the looks of the remaining schedule,a win here and they could very well accomplish both goals.....g.l.,
