Nolan -

Excellent writeup this week on your experiences in Vegas and views on life and people in general. Not that you care what anybody thinks ;) , but I really enjoyed that. It's nice to see a personality piece, and another side to someone other than just the standard "Here are my picks" that we see from everyone.

I've only been to Vegas once, and it was 10 years ago, but I still miss it. I remember after coming back thinking "Man...the rest of the world kinda sucks now". :lol: I'd love to go back.

Re: Lending money...totally agree. I am sure I have a few thousand dollars out there floating around in outstanding "loans" that I will never see again. It's gotten to the point that ya, I do have to be a cheap prick about it. I do want to help, but like you, I don't like being your sucker.

Example....a guy who is more of an acquaintance than a friend has owed me money since May. Every week he'd pay a little back, but then lose more (we gamble). Balance was anywhere from $80 to $500, but never below $80 the entire time. So one night I am driving him home (halfway across the city at that), and he wants to propose a deal. He owes me $250 at the time, and offers to give me $150 now if I will "call it square"...a discount for "quick payment" he calls it. I almost drove off the road. I say to the guy "I've been chasing you since F$&@ing May, and you want a discount for QUICK PAYMENT?" No deal. The guy instead gives me $50, gets out and slams my car door, pissed off. And I'm like, I'm the bad guy here....??? I don't understand how these deadbeats think... :rolleyes:

PS - Wanna buy a watch? :D

I like Arizona and Buffalo alot,...both are good money line value plays,..here is a system I dug up;

Play on all Home Dogs of 6 or more points off a bye week when facing a foe that played the previous week.12-1 ats since 1990

Arizona has a record of 7-1 as underdogs after a bye week. SF also comes off a big win vs Tampa and has St Louis on deck next week.
