OVER 192.5
Milwaukee at LA Clippers
With Sam Cassell back starting at the point for the Clippers,
LA's low-post game is back. The 'Shaun Livingston as
'starter' experiment appears to be over. Livingston's shot has
been so bad, it allowed teams to double on Elton Brand in the
post, forcing Livingston to shoot it from the outside. He couldn't.
The Clippers appear to be a lock for the straight-up win, but
covering the -9.5 with Cassell on the floor in the absence of
Livingston (current injury) could be a shaky proposition with
Earl Boykins on the floor to run Cassell ragged on the defensive
end. Ideally, Milwaukee would like to play slow to help overcome
the effect of injuries, but Boykins is one of the worst half-court
players in the history of the league, and they are not about to
play effective defense against the Clippers, anyway. Not when
Brand can hit a high percentage from 15 feet, bring Bogut or
Gadzuric away from the basket and free up Kaman underneath,
and Tim Thomas and Maggette have huge size edges for their
shot out on the perimeter. The Clippers might shoot 60% for
the game tonight. LA CLIPPERS, 111-98.
